Want results?  We deliver!
Just check out a few of our recent successes:

NATIONAL CHAMPION

CHRIS TOMMERDAHL - Chris handily won the 20-24 age-group national title at the Olympic distance age-group championship in Portland by over three minutes!  This follows her second place finish as an undergrad at the Collegiate National Championships and a fourth place finish in her age-group at the World Championships earlier in the year.  She then represented NC at the Best of the US race in Tempe where she led the entire way until mile 4 in the run.  She still held on for fourth place only a minute out of the win.  At only 22 years of age, her future look very bright!

Ironman Florida age-group Champion:
Ken Partel won the 60-64 age-group with an amazing time of 10:56!  He gladly accepted his spot to the 2009 Ironman World Championship in Kona and has a full year to prepare for it.

Ironman 70.3 World Championships:
Brooke Brown, Ashley Naelon, and Joanna Younts
all finished off their seasons with strong races in Clearwater, Florida.  Congratulations to all three competing against the best in the world!  Joanna qualified with an awesome third place age-group finish at Vineman 70.3, while Ashley finished sixth age-group at Cancun 70.3.  Meanwhile, Brooke flies at Clearwater with a 4:50!

Best of the US:
Coach Dave Williams and Chris Tommerdahl
of Triangle Multisport represented NC in the Best of the US race in Tempe, AZ.  Chris finished an outstanding 4th and after a very short season Dave held on for 19th among a very strong field.

Beach 2 Battleship Iron Distance:
Karla Moore, Dan McLaughlin, and John George
all had great races in Wilmington.  Karla finished a strong 2nd place in her age-group with a smart and steady day.  Dan had a strong race to finish his first Iron distance event just a few days after totalling his bike!  Meanwhile, John managed to pull off a new PR in his seventh iron distance event.

USAT Age Group National Championships:
Joanna Younts, Ken Younts, Stacey Richardson, Chris Tommerdahl, and David Williams
all competed very well at Nationals in Portland and all qualified for the 2009 World Championships at the Gold Coast, Austrailia.  Chris won the 20-24 age-group and was 11th overall female.  Stacey was 2nd 35-29 age-group and 3rd overall female.  Joanna took a chunk of time off of last year's race and finished 15th in the 40-44 age-group.  Ken had the race of the year for him surprising more than a few people with his 11th place finish in the 40-44 age-group.  Meanwhile, Coach Dave finished with a solid 9th place finish in the 30-34 age-group.

Stacey Richardson continues her dominance:
You have to be impressed with Stacey's results this year.  She was the overall amateur champion at the very difficult St. Croix 70.3 race, finished third overall and second 35-39 at the age-group National Championships while training for Hawaii, then followed that with a 15th place age-group finish in her first ever Ironman World Championship in Kona.   Oh yeah, meanwhile she raked in enough points to win the North Carolina Triathlon Series elite tiite - again.

Amie Krasnozon finishes an impressive season:
Amie takes third overall female at two of the most competitive races in NC - the Pinehurst international distance triathlon and the Triangle Triathlon (finishing behind only teammates Chris Tommerdahl and Stacey Richardson).   She earned enough points to finish fourth overall in the NC Triathlon Series.

Coach Monette Williams wins inaugural Glade Springs Triathlon:
Monette had a phenomenal race to win big at the beautiful and tough Glade Springs Triathlon in WV.  Coach Dave finished a strong second in a hard-fought battle up front.
